How it works

Thank you for booking with Atter Pathology Services. The South African Department of Health collects customer data on all Covid PCR testing. By you inputting your own details to the lab system, you will have no problems with the airlines accepting your document.

APS has designed a contactless experience. This minimises potential virus spread and the time you will be required to wait at the testing site.

Before booking your test, please take note of the necessary steps in the booking process outlined below:

Step 1: Book & pay

  • Select testing location and number of tests.

  • Select date and time.

  • Complete online payment. Your booking will not be confirmed without payment. If you have any difficulties paying online, please contact us at bookings@atter.co.za

Step 2: Check your email

  • You will receive an email with links to a mandatory pre-admission form.

  • Click on the relevant link for testing in either Cape Town or Johannesburg.

    • If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please check your spam / junk mail folder.

Step 3: Complete the online pre-admission form

  • This laboratory pre-admission is a compulsory requirement that must be completed before you arrive at the testing centre.

  • For bookings for more than one person, please complete details separately for each person. To do this, select 'Add Patient' for each additional person.

  • Submit the form to receive your laboratory authorisation code via email.

Step 4: Arrive for testing

  • You will be required to show your laboratory authorisation code for scanning prior to being tested.

  • Please take care to input your information as it appears on your passport. Any information that is incorrect may delay your results.

  • Please be sure that your email address is correct. Inaccuracies in your contact details mean that you may not receive your results.

  • Please note that APS is not affiliated with medical aid.
